What is Rod Run?

The Vista Rod Run has been an annual event in the City of Vista for 18 years. It's main goal is to attract people to the revitalized downtown area and to provide funds for a local charity, which rotates on a yearly basis. This years charity is San Diego Adaptive Sports Foundation. Rod Run has live bands and there are numerous restaurants located downtown.

Vista Rod Run 2008

The Vista Village Business Association announces the 19th Annual Vista Rod Run being held on Sunday, August 3rd from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Historic Downtown district. Rod Run entry form and Rod Run Vendor Application

This year a portion of the proceeds will benefit the San Diego Adaptive Sports Foundation.

The Rod Run is one of the largest car shows in the San Diego area as well as one of Vista ’s biggest community events. Car lovers will be drooling over more than 300 of the finest hot rods around.

Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, Best Upholstery, Best Paint, Best Graphics, Mayor’s Choice, People’s Choice, Longest Distance, Club Participation, Best Woodie, Best Custom Motorcycle and others.

Music from PRI and FastLane will be provided on a stage by the fountain in the corner of Main Street and Michigan Avenue .

This year’s sponsors include the City of Vista , The Transmission Source, Advanced Collision Repair & Tow Inc., Certified Transmission, Chipotle, SandL Graphics, Toyota of Escondido, Kenny's Kar Klinic, Saturn of West 78, Krikorian Theater and West Escondido Automotive & Transmission.
